It was fate! We met in NYC in 2016, and despite being from Ohio and Arkansas, we discovered we were practically kindred spirits. Similar upbringings, cardinal-loving grandmas, and even the shared experience of being the oldest sibling – the connections were undeniable. After considering all options, we decided to elope to keep our wedding day intimate and truly about us.

We were lucky to have Zoie, Joe's daughter and Laura, Krystal's best friend as the witnesses at our wedding. We are also highly blessed and honored to have had Krystal's mentor and teacher Ohashi Sensei, officiate our special ceremony at his home with his lovely wife Bonnie and their son Kazu also in attendance.
